Obituary for Michael G. Henry
Born: May 19, 1962. Died: December 2, 2021
Michael was the son of Michael J. Henry and the late Mary Henry (née McEnaney),
brother of Elizabeth (Mark MacPherson), Maureen (Wayne Lau), Eileen (John Slack),
Mary (Greg Cyr), and Geralyn (Rick Schneider). He was predeceased by his brother,
Kevin, in 1965. He was uncle to 9 nieces and nephews. Michael is survived by many
aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a wide circle of friends and acquaintances from all over
the country.
Michael attended schools in NY, NJ, WI, and IL. He graduated from the University of
Notre Dame and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. He held positions in
Finance and Accounting in New York City, Chicago and Wisconsin. He then took some
time for camping and exploring before settling in Las Vegas. Michael loved camping and
the outdoors, and explored numerous National Parks and outdoor spaces.
He was an enthusiastic cook. He was an animal lover, with his dog, Max, being his
favorite. He was interested in world affairs and loved to debate any subject since he
was very young. He loved games of all kinds and was a tremendous strategist. Michael
was, by far, the smartest person we’ve ever known. He had an incredible memory and a
boundless curiosity. He was witty, funny, friendly, and loved to talk! Michael made all
family gatherings more memorable with his quirky sense of humor and fun. Family and
friends will really miss him!
A memorial service will be held in the future.

The world is now an incomplete place without Mike in it . He was a special combination of smart and funny. You will be missed my friend.
Michael, We miss you very much. Live you! See you on the other side.
Mike’s passing is a loss for everyone who knew him. Unfortunately I lost contact with him since high school but I’m glad to read about all that he accomplished in his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
I’ve trying to locate Mike for years. Incredibly sad to find this.
The obituary described him well — so curious, so smart — and with a great wry sense of humor.
He was important in my life. Very sad.
