Leah Dawn Ohlrich 42, left this earth on April 6, 2022, after a brief but fierce battle with cancer.
Leah was born in Minden Nebraska, on Jul 7, 1979. She was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed her faith at Christ Lutheran Church in Murray UT. She graduated from Salt Lake Lutheran High School in 1997, and attended Concordia College in Seward NE, as well as Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA. She was a member of the track team at college, specializing in the javelin.
Leah worked in the summers of her school years at various Salvation Army camps. Leah later worked as a server for Mimi’s in Henderson NV.
Leah loved doting on her children, sitting in her driveway, watching the kids play and ride their bicycles with the neighbors, making special treats and crafts for their classroom holidays and birthdays. She also loved to cook, always wanting to try a new, delicious and healthy recipe.
She also cherished her relationships with her fellow servers and building wonderful friendships with many of her regular customers. Leah was a master at making friends, including relationships with the medical teams during her chemotherapy, radiation and later hospitalizations. It was not out of the ordinary for someone to stop into Leah’s hospital room and share their photos of children, or artwork. Even through the most painful times of the disease she would be making friends. It was her super-power.
Leah is survived by her 3 children who were her heart, Kaydence Guerrero 12, Lincoln Guerrero 10 and David Guerrero 9 of Henderson NV, the love of her life, her fiancé, John Imig of Las Vegas NV. her mother, Rebecca Ohlrich, Henderson NV, and father, David Ohlrich and stepmother, Susan Ohlrich of Kearney, NE and brothers Casey Ohlrich of Omaha NE, and Trevor Ohlrich of Kearney, NE, maternal grandparents, Doug Graul of Kearney, NE and Dolores Graul of Hildreth NE. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Lawrence and Irma Ohlrich of Deshler NE.

I have known Leah since 2006, she was one of the first friends I made when came to work at Mimi’s in Henderson. We worked together for over 10 years, and I have so many memories with her. Leah’s passing is absolutely devastating and I will never forget her. Leah I will hold all of those good times we had very dear to my heart. My love and prayers go out to the family.
Our family was heartbroken to learn of Leah’s passing. We were one of her regulars every Saturday morning at Mimi’s. She was an awesome waitress and always made our dining experience an event to look forward to. We knew her before she had any of her beautiful babies. She always gave us hugs and said: “Luv ya” with every visit. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all her family, her fiancé John, and those three beautiful children. Leah was a wonderful, one in a million woman. She will be sorely missed.
