Tamra West passed peacefully from this life to the next on Sunday, January 12th at the age of 47, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous thirteen-month battle with brain cancer.
Over the past year of various treatments, Tamra never complained about the pain she endured but rather celebrated the life she lived with family and friends. We are grateful for all who visited Tamra and took her out for meals, shopping, and adventures celebrating all that is wonderful in life.
Tamra is survived by her husband Shad, daughter Aley, stepdaughters Emily and Erin, Mother Sharon Hudgens, brothers Flint (Denise) Hudgens Clete (Sondra) Hudgens, Jared (Tracy) Hudgens, Chad (Haylee) Hudgens, and sisters Lesle (Marvin) Dodge, Amy Clark (Ford Locey), and Nicol (Alex) Jarvis. We are certain she was warmly welcomed home by her loving father who preceded her in death.
Tamra lived an incredible life as an organizer, event planner, sales executive, real estate entrepreneur, and turned her love of sewing into a fun business making dress-up aprons and dresses for hundreds of children.
Tamra loved adventures and had a goal of visiting every National Park in America. While she was only able to visit sixteen of those parks, Tamra enjoyed everything that was related to the outdoors, falling in love with cactus, deserts, and waterfalls. Tamra’s last grand adventure was a sisters’ trip to the world-famous Niagara Falls last August.
Tamra’s life ended much too soon, and we will all miss her intense love, contagious laughter, undaunted attitude, competitive spirit, and sense of adventure. Thankfully, our memories of Tamra will never fade but will live on in our hearts and minds forever after.
A memorial service for Tamra will be held on February 8, 2025, at 10:30a.m.at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 401 Palo Verde Drive in Henderson Nevada 89015.
